Nature and Wildlife

From an environmental and naturalistic standpoint the Gavi territory and all the area up to the Ligurian Apennines are very well preserved.  

The hills are covered with vineyards yielding excellent white and red wines, while the mountains are very rich in flora as well as in wildlife and landscape.

As far as wildlife is concerned, there are a great variety of species: among the raptor birds you can watch the hawk, the poiana and the golden eagle; the territory is also very rich in roe deers, foxes, boars just to mention the best known and most frequent to be seen.
